She has won the admiration of many with her exceptional voice and stage performance and that is what patrons of the maiden Native Tongue Soul Festival scheduled for Badu Lounge tomorrow, September 29 will experience when Soul singer, Nana Yaa mounts the stage. This is the second time the Don’t Leave Me Alone singer will perform at the festival which aims at promoting live band and alternative music. Speaking with Showbiz about the upcoming event, Nana Yaa who has worked with the likes of Kojo Antwi and Rex Omar as a backing vocalist said it’s always an honour to perform live for her fans. She said the opportunity to get close to her fans when she performs brings smiles to her face. The Osu Oxford Street will light up tonight when the 20 finalists for this year’s Miss Ghana pageant hit the catwalk in a fashion show as part of competitive activities ahead of the grand finale on Saturday, October 7. According to Exclusive Events, organisers of Miss Ghana, the fashion show is to prepare the contestants for the main event, which will be held at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra. The Miss Ghana pageant is the oldest and biggest in Ghana. Jim Carrey  is  not backing down  in the  wrongful death lawsuit  filed against him by  Cathriona White 's family and has counter-sued. Meanwhile, attorneys representing White's family recently released to the press a 2013 iPad note White allegedly wrote to Carrey, in which she accuses him of introducing her to "cocaine, prostitutes, mental abuse and disease." White—an Irish hair and makeup artist who dated Carrey on and off since 2012—committed suicide in 2016. That September, White's mother,  Bridgid Sweetman , and  her estranged husband ,  Mark Burton , sued Carrey, accusing him of giving White the drugs that ultimately caused her to overdose and die. They also claimed he "knowingly" gave her three sexually transmitted diseases "without warning her." On Friday, Carrey filed a countersuit against White's family and attorney.
